The Advisory Committee is a standing committee of the MIST Board of Directors. Its Chair is appointed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Members are selected by the Committee Chair and represent academic, government and corporate entities. The Committee charter is to focus on industrial and educational strategic planning, and to identify, quantify and validate tactical objectives to be considered by the Board.
The current Committee membership includes representatives from the following entities:
- L-3 Communications/BAI Aerosystems (Chair)
- University of Maryland Eastern Shore
- Salisbury University
- Maryland Hawk Corporation
- Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport
- USAF Rocket Systems Launch Program
- University of Maryland College Park
- Swales Aerospace
- NASA Wallops Flight Facility
- ATK, Elkton
- Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems
MIST members and other entities having project ideas that they wish to submit for consideration for MIST funding are encouraged to submit them to the Committee through the Executive Director. MIST will enter into non-disclosure agreements with interested parties as required.
